Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse by Patrick O'Keefe / Ian McQue
Peter, when will I know I’m ready?
You won’t. It’s a leap of faith. That’s all it is, Miles. A leap of faith.
So I saw into the spider verse today, and I saw gonna make a joke post about how long it took for miles to get his awesome real suit instead of the shitty store bought one, when the reason hit me.
All the other spiders have these cool personalized suits but miles, he has a store bought 2-size-too-small suit, UNTIL he’s able to unlock his powers! Guys it a fucking symbol! Maybe I’m just late on the uptake or something, but it’s showing how no matter how hard he’s trying to be part of the team he can’t be, he’s not a true spider man yet. He’s just a sticky kid in a costume. He gets his costume not only when he unlocks true control of his powers, but when he no longer wants to use them to stop Kingpin for revenge, or because of guilt. He accepts that stopping him is just the right thing to do and he needs to do it. And so he gets his beautiful suit.

took me a while to make a decent drawing but heres miles!! i loved spiderverse with all my heart n cant wait to see it again
